Modal french terry has a luxuriously soft hand and lovely drape. It is lighter than you would think and it would work beautifully for t-shirts, knit dresses, and pants. Modal is 50% more absorbent than cotton, breathable, colour-fast, and shrinkage/pilling resistant.
